PURPOSE
This policy articulates a set of qualities, skills and abilities that a graduate from Global Leadership Institute (GLI) is required to demonstrate.
DEFINITIONS
Graduate Attributes: qualities, skills and disciplinary expertise that each student of GLI should develop during their studies.
Curriculum: lessons and academic content or specific course or program taught at GLI.
Assessment: process of evaluating the extent to which students have understood course materials and achieved the objectives of a course.
Graduate: student who has satisfied all the requirements of a program of study and upon whom Council has conferred an award.
GLI GRADUATE ATTRIBUTES
GLI aims to produce graduates who:
· demonstrate and apply advanced knowledge and skills;
· locate, organise, and analyse information, critically and reflectively;
· demonstrate a capacity for and an understanding of teamwork and professional leadership;
· demonstrate effective communication in oral and written English language, visual and digital media;
· recognise personal and community responsibility and improvements to the common good, law, community values, the environment, society and profession;
· demonstrate respect for the dignity of each individual and for human diversity; and
· demonstrate values, and attitudes reflecting honesty, integrity, accountability, professional development, public services and ethics.
