Leadership has become a significant area of interest in policing, counterterrorism, and cyber security globally with organisations changing governance requirements to adapt to constant change in their environment and intersectoral relationships. Global Leadership Institute (GLI) provides postgraduate programs that will enhance professional development of leaders throughout the world by better understanding how government policy, laws, social issues, and economic decisions impact on leaders in the policing, military, and security sectors. As such, GLI considers quality assurance critical to our success, whether it be our ongoing course development, teaching delivery, research learning and student assessment, or the provisions of support services, and collation and interpretation of performance data to benchmark and monitor ourselves against our core objectives.
The Global Leadership Institute Strategic Plan (2023-2028) details our mission to become an advanced centre for higher education. The key outcomes, including measuring effectiveness over the next five years, are critical to our performance. The plan provides the philosophical and practical guidance for the Institute to be able to fulfil the measure of its purpose to educate and integrate tomorrow’s leaders into a world where pressures of performance and societal outcomes are critical to policing, counter terrorism and cyber terrorism has become central for public order and security.
Global issues affecting public order, terrorist acts and cyber-attacks are challenges that GLI courses seek to address with future leaders in those fields. Challenge and change will be the hallmark for this Institute to deliver world-class postgraduate educational and professional outcomes to world and local security and public order problems.
